Information for 87.50mm Bore:
We supply this version of Duratec 87.50mm bore piston, which come complete with rings for those people who are using a secondhand engine. The pistons will come with the rings unfitted as the rings must be gapped when fitting.  They come as a set of 4, but may also be available singly on request depending on stock levels.
 
Our compression ratio figures are based on using a standard height block, with a standard Ford head gasket, and are only relevant for a 2.0L engine (83.1mm stroke crank). 
 
  • 11.7:1 with a standard cylinder head (circa 42.0cc chamber volume)
  • 12.3:1 with a machined cylinder head (circa 40.0cc chamber volume)
Information for 88.00mm Bore:
The 88.00mm version is designed for those who have a secondhand engine that shows some bore wear. We would normally recommend the engine is replaced if any substantial bore wear has occurred due to the thickness of the cast in liners & would only recommend the use of an overbored engine for either road use or engines of a mild state of tune. The pistons will come with the rings unfitted as the rings must be gapped when fitting. They come as a set of 4, but may also be available singly on request depending on stock levels.
